After discussions at school and with the new amount of cases in the county we are going to hold off on basketball open gyms for a bit longer until we are given more information in the coming days and week about how the case count is doing. Parent Teacher conferences for grades 7 through 12 will be held in the old gym from 1 until 8 Thursday (tomorrow). Social distancing and masks are required and available at the door for those that need one. The entrance will be in the double doors from the parking lot and the exit will be through the single door on the east end. If you are unable to make it to the conferences please contact the teacher with any questions or concerns so that they can set up a time to discuss through virtual meeting or phone call.

I am happy to announce that we have been granted the Seamless Summer Option program which allows our school to receive free breakfasts and lunches for the rest of the school year. This applies to every Pre School through 12th grade student enrolled at Prairie City. I want to emphasize that this program will be back dated to October 1st and all outstanding accounts before October 1st still need to be paid. Prairie City sports physicals will be next Friday, September 11 starting right after school at noon in the old gym. Bring 2 cans of food as payment. Parents need to sign the physical form before hand so that it is valid. Mr. Colson will give them to all interested athletes next week. Grades 5, 7, 9, 11 must have a physical as well as any new student who wishes to participate. Share this info with whoever you can do that everyone is aware. Thank you and Go Panthers!

Hello Prairie City Families, This is Superintendent Hallgarth with an announcement. I wanted to let everyone know that we have some exciting things going on in our school district. We are planning to reopen this fall with face-to-face instruction under the guidelines of the ODE and OHA. There will be changes but we feel it is extremely important for everyone to know the guidelines that we must adhere too. Our school plan is still in the planning stage but is due August 15. Thank you all for taking the survey that was sent out a few week ago.
