We will be doing the annual canned food drive for Prairie City Family Christmas Baskets starting Monday and going until the last day of school before Christmas Break. 2 cans of food gets you a cookie. Class with most cans gets a prize at the finally. We will bring boxes around tomorrow and hopefully it works for everyone to collect them during your first period class and Seniors will come around each morning to take a individual tally for cookies and running totals. Message regarding previous statement about basketball open gyms. After discussions at school and with the new amount of cases in the county we are going to hold off on basketball open gyms for a bit longer until we are given more information in the coming days and week about how the case count is doing. Sorry and thank you for your patience.

Hello PC Families, I wanted to inform everyone that we will not be closing our school due to the increase in cases. We take the safety of your children very seriously. Although John Day Schools are pivoting to CDL until November 30, we are anticipating being in school Monday. We will monitor the situation closely and keep everyone informed. Parent Teacher conferences for grades 7 through 12 will be held in the old gym from 1 until 8 Thursday (tomorrow). Social distancing and masks are required and available at the door for those that need one. The entrance will be in the double doors from the parking lot and the exit will be through the single door on the east end. If you are unable to make it to the conferences please contact the teacher with any questions or concerns so that they can set up a time to discuss through virtual meeting or phone call.
