📰 Level Up! Prairie City Middle School Esports – Fall 2025 Season
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Prairie City Middle School Esports team is gearing up for an exciting fall season! This program is a fantastic opportunity for students to compete in a fun, team-oriented environment while developing valuable skills in strategy, communication, and sportsmanship.
🎮 Games Offered
This season, our teams will have the opportunity to compete in the following games, based on student interest and participation:
Mario Kart 🏎️
Super Smash Bros. ⚔️
Rocket League (2v2 or 3v3) 🚀⚽
Chess ♟️
Please note: All games, with the exception of Chess, are team-based and require strong communication and collaboration. Every member will get to compete. We can always create extra teams to accommodate more players.
⏰ Practice & Competition Schedule
When: Wednesdays & Thursdays, 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM
Where: Computer Lab
First Practice: Wednesday, September 24th
Competitions: Matches are held online against other middle schools in the West Region. A full match schedule will be provided to team members once the season begins.
📚 Academic Eligibility
Academic success is our top priority. To be eligible, students must maintain a grade of 70% (C-) or better in all classes. Students who fall below this requirement will be ineligible to practice or compete until their grades improve.
👥 Who Can Join?
Esports is a co-ed activity—all are welcome! Due to potential scheduling conflicts, students may only participate in one school-sanctioned sport per season. Therefore, students currently on another fall sports team are not eligible for Esports this season.
💡 Why Esports? More Than Just a Game!
Beyond the screen, Esports fosters critical life skills, promoting:
Teamwork & Communication 🤝
Strategic & Critical Thinking 🧠
Good Sportsmanship 🙌
Problem-Solving Under Pressure ⏳
Confidence & Leadership 🌟
An informational meeting for all interested students will be held on Thursday, September 18th at 12:00 PM in the Computer Lab.
Please fill out the interest form by Friday, September 19th so we can finalize our teams. You can get sign up online here: https://forms.gle/e5tyXmK9jb6uJ7tu6
We are looking forward to an amazing season of growth, competition, and fun!
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Good afternoon,
The PTC’s first event of the year is our Back to School Carnival on Friday, September 26 from 2-7pm! Attached you’ll find the carnival flyer. If you could please send one home with each of your kids, we would appreciate it.
We are looking for volunteers for the carnival! We will need helpers for running games, the food truck and snow cone/cotton candy booths, and a couple to participate in our “dunk tank”, which is really a bucket that dumps water over you if the target is hit. If anyone is interested in helping out, please get ahold of me!
I am working on putting together a full event schedule for the year and will get that to you as soon as possible. If you have any questions or ideas throughout the year, please feel free to reach me by email or at (541) 792-0330.
Thank you!

Hello Panther Families,
If your child has an after-school activity and will be going home a different way than usual, please call the school office to let us know. This helps us ensure every student gets home safely.
Also, please note that siblings are welcome to attend practices, but they must be supervised by an adult. Students without an activity should not remain on campus unsupervised.
Thank you for your support and understanding!
