We did a unit on clouds and precipitation, so 5th graders made clouds out of cotton balls to show the three different altitudes.

5th graders painted mini canvases and made candles for Mother’s Day 😊
3rd graders are published authors! Students who ordered before the deadline are bringing home their books tonight. For those who didn’t, there is still an opportunity for them to order and have the books sent directly to their homes. This was quite the project and I hope students will enjoy looking back on their finished work for years to come!
These track stars did great at districts, we will be taking our 4x100 relay team David Sharpe, Sawyer Quinten, Tuckers Wright, and Maison Teel, 100m Maison Teel, and pole vault Jaylan LaDuke to state!

What a view! This is kindergarten and first grade coming back from our Bank of Eastern Oregon field trip.
3rd grade took their field trip to the fossil beds today. Sadly, there was some miscommunication and we were unable to tour the Paleontology Center, but fun was still had! The Island of Time trail was a hit and the weather was great! Part 2.

Teacher Appreciation Week Day 4!
The Prairie City Golf Team competed at the 1A 2A 3A Special District 4 district on May 6th & 7th at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Baker City. there were 15 teams with over 65 players competing over two days. Sawyer won the district title and will be competing at the State Tournament at Emerald Valley Country Club, just south of Eugene in Cresswell Oregon May13th & 14th. Only the top 3 teams in the district make it to state. The Panthers made a monumental come back on day two. The team was 20 strokes behind the 3rd place team after the first day. At the end of the tournament, the team had pulled within 7 just missing out on third place. Weather conditions were brutal with cold temperatures, wind and rain on day one. Day two brought high swirling winds making the course very difficult to play.
I am extremely proud of the team that represented Prairie City. The team was made up of Seniors Trey Brown, Bridger Walker, Cayden Howard and Tucker Wright along with Sophomore Sawyer Quinton.

Overall, a solid season with everyone on the team lowering their scores. The team has a solid base coming back in 2025.
