Prairie City is offering a youth t-ball program for children 5-7 years of age. Registration is open from March 1, 2024 to March 22, 2024. The season will be April 29, 2024 to May 31, 2024.
Cost to participate is by donation.
The t-ball sign-up sheet is located in the Prairie City School Office. Contact Mindy Stinnett if you have any questions (541-620-4480).
3rd grade had a blast during the Dr. Seuss stations! Thank you all the parents who organized this fun event!
The first-grade class was invited to have lunch at the Senior Center! They read to anyone who would listen. They then led the flag salute and sang a song! After that, they enjoyed a wonderful meal!
Seniors in US government wrote to their local representatives regarding an issue of their choice. The federal house representative wrote back with personalized responses to the students.

The vision for the Bates building started 6 years ago. Mrs Wright and Mr. Hallgarth worked on this and it has finally come to fruition. This will impact the school and community for years to come! Thanks to everyone for all the help with this project these past 6 years.

“The Bates Early Learning” building Grand Opening
We are having our grand opening for our students on February 27 at 8 am! The paper and lots of parents will be present to witness having class for the first time in the newly renovated building!
Community Walk-Thru will be the same day as the Grand Opening and will start at 3:30 pm and end at 4:30 pm. Pizza and drinks will be provided!
The name of the renovated building is “The Bates Early Learning”!
